The artworks
Renato Brunello
Venice, Italy | 1953
Lives and works in Sao Paolo, Brazil
Sole e Mare (2025)
Brunello has spent most of his artistic life in Brazil, where he has achieved recognition and prestige at the highest level. A recurring aspect in his work is the balance between the lightness of what seems to fly and the weight of what is fixed to the ground.
Katharina Mörth
Monaco of Baviera, Germany | 1977
Lives and works in Austria, Germany and worldwide
Dialogues with the Sea (2025)
This work fuses organic abstraction with motifs inspired by local marine life. The fluid, sprawling forms evoke the rhythms of underwater ecosystems, celebrating the vitality of Adriatic biodiversity. The work is a sculptural homage to the delicate balance between nature and human expression, subtly urging the viewer to recognise the fragility of these coastal environments and the urgent need for their protection.
SCOUTING
Contemporary artists
The Award aims to enhance the City of Caorle and, in particular, to enhance the cliff that divides the Adriatic Sea on one side and the historic center on the other. Artists are selected from thousands of entries, based on an international search.
CATALOGUE
All the artworks
The new ScoglieraViva catalogue is online, featuring every edition of the Symposium, from its founding to the last carved rock.
PAST EDITIONS
since 1993
The competition, now in its 19th edition, aims to enrich Caorle’s heritage by transforming the cliff into a true open-air contemporary art gallery, whose changes will be determined by time and natural agents.
CAORLE – The Small Venice
Caorle is a city waiting to be discovered: not just beaches and sea, but also history, art, fishing, traditions, nature, and food and wine. It offers 18 km of golden sand between the capital, Porto Santa Margherita, Lido Altanea, Duna Verde, and Vallevecchia in Brussa.
